Sorry for the slight delay in getting back but I been struggling with the exceptionally painful problem my Right foot over the past few days.

Today I want to mention the Whistle Blowing in the NHS that has recently been discussed in the House of Commons, Health Select Committee and on TV about the gagging order on Gary Walker Chief Executive of the Lincolnshire Hospital.

The Government Bodies are now talking about having transparency in the NHS and apparently about their surprise at the gagging orders as if it has only just been uncovered. It was my understanding that the NHS should at all times have been transparent, and in the past I’ve told Chief Executive Munroe Donald, Chief Executive Nigel Clifton and Margaret Cox at the Bassetlaw Hospital together with telling Chief Executive Brian James at the RDGH, Andrew Cash (Chief Executive) at the Sheffield Northern General and every Minister of Health since Frank Dobson and right up to Mr Andrew Lansley about the goings on over my case. One Undersecretary of State for Health even wrote to me advising me that it was a matter for the police and basically saying it was not one she could consider. I consider that once I had passed the matters onto her it was up to her to act on those matters.

The continuing coving-up of the mistakes made by Orthopaedic Surgeon Mr Majumdar in 1987 and subsequently by Professor Dandy, has followed me to every hospital wherever I have been referred to by my then GP, due to the Mention of Litigation in letters of referral and contained within my medical records. The GPs at Kiveton Primary Care Centre were the latest offenders. They were advised by the Information Commissioner that reference to Litigation/court case in my notes was too unreasonable for medical purpose, and they were advised in 2002/03 to amend and remove all evidence of such information from my medical records.

When I changed over from the KPPCC to another GP Practice in November 2010 it was discovered by my new GP that the KPPCC had not adhered to the ICO’s advice and recommendations. My medical records were not available to my new GP until March 2011.

See copy letter dated 10 March 2011 from Mr Andy Buck (Chief Executive) Rotherham Primary Care Trust, where you can see he confirms that the the delay in amending my medical records by the KPPCC from 3^rd November 2010 to March 2011 was due to it being an onerous task. Albeit Mr Buck had been made aware of the happenings at the KPPCC over my medical records and the mention of litigation, he made no attempt to bring them to BUCK over the matter.

Recently, I received a letter from a Government Body in response to my complaint advising me to put the matter to a solicitor. They obviously want me to fill the greedy clinical negligence solicitors’ pockets yet again thereby letting them laugh all the way to the bank!!!!

However, now transparency in the NHS and other Government Departments is to the forefront, and gagging is to be ostracised, maybe, just maybe, Orthopaedic Surgeon Mr Zeraati, Radiologist Dr Howard, Radiographer Carole Perry, Radiology Manager Judy Haynes and Medical Records Clerk Patricia Hewitt might consider coming out of the woodwork and tell the truth about what has happened in my case and the complaint I brought against the Bassetlaw Hospital & Community Services NHS Trust. By them so doing might clear the conscience?

When I asked Mr Zeraati to confirm that he had shown me a copy of the Bassetlaw Hospital LAT View X-ray dated 19/08/91 showing the bony lesion/foreign body to be in my Right knee on that date, he told me that it was more than his job was worth, and further, that he did not like being ridiculed by his colleagues.

Mr Kieran Colton, the then Medical Records & Risks Manager at the Bassetlaw Hospital, did tell my husband (at the time I summoned them to court to give evidence and District Judge Hickinbottom had subsequently made me withdraw the summonses) that Carole Perry and Patricia Hewitt was protected by the official secrets Act. Now what does that tell you? They were gagged!!!
